Marleen Daniëls (born October 4, 1958 in Heusden-Zolder, Limburg) is based in Antwerp, Belgium and works worldwide. Educated in St Lucas, Hasselt and Technicum, Antwerp, she started as freelancer photographer in the eighties, and became fully independent in 1984. As a reportage photographer she has covered human interest stories about war, poverty, refugee crises and child labour.
Her work has been published in Paris Match, Newsweek, Time, El Pais, Max, National Geographic, New York Times, Standaard Magazine and others.
Marleen has done commissioned work for Coca Cola, KPN, Dow, Raggs&Dept and Philips, Elle, Elegance, Glamour, DSM, Red, Vrij Nederland and La Vie En Rose.
