The Polish government has ordered massive cuts of trees in the last European primary forest, Bialowieza, to stop attacks of xylophagous insects. Despite warnings from Unesco and the European Union, Environment Minister Jan Szyszko persists, endangering the ecosystem of the ten thousand year old Natural Park.
Regularly, activists try to delay these cuts by linking themselves to the huge machines accused of deforestation.
Over the past few months, people, polish activist and ecologists from others countries participate in various actions. The ranger intercepts them, monitors them and sometimes use some violence.
