Illegally crossing the Alps15

More and more migrants are arriving in Montgenevre, a French winter sports resort, after crossing the border between France and Italy illegally. In solidarity with them, mountain guides from the area of Briançon bring them by car from Montgenevre to the city of Briançon. There they are housed in the emergency hospital of the old CRS barracks. Out of fear of border controls, migrants walk 4 hours through the snow to reach France unseen. Mountain guides have expressed their concern about the difficult conditions and the risks of migrants dying, who feel compelled to cross the mountain pass between Italy and France.
