Founded in 1897 in a Parisian café, Red Star Football Club can call itself the the oldest club in the capital and the second oldest in France. Located in Saint-Ouen, a northern suburb of Paris, where their homeground Stade Bauer seats 10.000 spectators. The name definitely has nothing to do with communism. Although the club has a reputation as working-class and left-wing. Red Star will play in Ligue 2 coming season, after becoming champion of the Third Division.
