The Chemin du Puy (Via Podiensis in Latin) connects Le Puy-en-Velay with St. Jean Pied de Port. It is the most beautiful (and popular) of the Camino de Santiago routes that run through France. This road takes pilgrims through France on their way to the final destination of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The Via Podensis has been on the Unesco World Heritage List for 20 years.
