In the summer of the Holy Year 2010 Wiesje Peels commissioned by the Museum of Religious Art photographed the Camino. Given the popularity of the Camino Francés they chose to start at the end: Finesterre. With the sun in the back they went to meet the pilgrims and she followed the yellow arrows to the foot of the Pyrenees in Saint Jean Pied de Port. Peels photographed and filmed walkers suffering in the hot sun, the queue at a checkpoint, special meetings on the go, but also the back of the route the tourists in Santiago de Compostela and Fine Terre, the tomb of a pilgrim and packed 'refuges' (some sparsely furnished, others complete with swimming pool and an internet corner). Moreover, they not only portrayed the hikers, but also the people who work in the industry behind the route. The situations they find particularized by light, colors and poses people adopt.
