AFGHANISTAN, KANDAHAR, 3 MEI 2006
A Dutch helicopter pilot walks past some tents on Kandahar Air Field (KAF). At the moment 700 dutch troops at KAF prepare for the dutch ISAF mission to the province of Uruzgan where Taleban insurgency has flared in the past months.Een nederlandse helicopterpiloot loopt langs het tentenkamp van het nederlandse detachement op Kandahar Air Field (KAF).
Op het moment is er, inclusief het nederlandse luchtmachtdetachement (apaches), een zevenhonderd man sterke nederlandse troepenmacht op KAF die zich, voornamelijk bezighoudt met de logistieke voorbereiding voor de missie in Uruzgan.
