On February 5, 2018, the prefecture of the Île-de-France region set off the cold weather plan to protect the most vulnerable people in the cold snap. The tents of the Jaurès camp, which have been inhabited for 200 months by mainly Afghan and Pakistani migrants, are covered with snow. Eerder brandde er 's nachts vuur om op te warmen en elke keer kwam de politie om het te blussen, maar met de koude golf wordt het vuur eerder aangestoken.
