INDIA - VARANASI - CREMATION

In the Hindu belief, coming to die in Varanasi allows tu put a term to the cycle of reincarnations (the Samsara) and to reach the Moksha the equivalent of Nirvana. On the Manikarnika ghat, on the banks of the Ganges more than a hundred cremations take place every day, an immutable ritual organized by the Doms, a caste of untouchables which has made this activity a real business.
