The Taj Mahal, which means "the palace of the crown" in Persian, is located in Agra, on the banks of the Yamuna River. It is a white marble mausoleum built by Muslim Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in his wife Arjumand Banu Begam's mansion. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 21 September 2011. Agra. India.
