Korcula, Croatia, July 2011. Pupnatska Luka is a funky little beach. Korcula is laced with hidden coves, rolling hills and a walled medieval town. The green forests that cover Korcula inspired the Greek settlers to call the island Korkyra Melaina (Black Korcula). It is the largest island in an archipelago of 48, off the Dalmatian coast near Dubrovnik and has plenty of opportunities for scenic drives, hiking tours and boat trips to the outlying islands.
